Crew status recognition software "PSR Ver1.0" will be provided to Tier 1 and domestic and overseas car manufacturers. PSR is an image recognition middleware that recognizes occupant status and can be used in combination with FaceU (R) for DMS image recognition software for driver monitoring systems. As the first step, we will provide a function to recognize the status of “mobile phone status” and “smoking status”.

An updated version of FaceU (R) for DMS, an image recognition software for driver monitoring systems, is now available to Tier 1 and domestic car manufacturers in Japan and overseas.

FaceU for DMS has been adopted as a driver monitoring system for commercial vehicle manufacturers through a Korean auto equipment manufacturer. The vehicle will be mass-produced and shipped from December 2018.

This forum is a private event that invites set makers and car makers to promote R-Car solutions by Renesas and its partners. Under the title of Driver Monitoring Solution for R-Car, we exhibited a combination demonstration of face recognition software for driver monitoring and newly developed occupant state recognition (cell phone operation state recognition).
